Threat of Obama Reelection Source of Murder, Suicide
The article at the UK's Daily Mail: The 'beautiful' family slain hours after church by 'mentally ill father tormented by the prospect of Obama winning the election'.
And now MSgt B, we know what happened that morning in Herndon.
My condolences to the extended family, but I hate stories like this. I too fret for the future my kids will inherit, but at this moment the thing I want to do most is find my children and give them a big hug. All I can do now is prepare them for the future, and then work and pray for an outcome that isn't bleak.

Wow...just, wow.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder the local press didn't want to touch it with a ten foot pole.
"Local defense contractors comitting murder/suicide over sequestered budget cuts."
"Afraid Obama might get re-elected."
Great headline for Northern Virginia.
Wow is right...
ReplyDeleteI would put more weight to the fact that his father and uncle both committed suicide. The number of children of suicide 'victims' who go on to committ suicide themselves is crazy. I knew a guy who killed himself. His mother killed herself when he was a boy. Whenever suicide came up as a topic it was allways the most horrible and vile thing in his view. I never, ever thought he would have killed himself.
ReplyDeleteYou are right that suicide runs in families, and the impending defense sequestration that's gonna put a lot of people out of work isn't the root cause of this murder/suicide. But it sure doesn't help matters.
DeleteMSgt B - Yeah, there's gonna be a lot of consternation over sequestration in Jan. Sad to say, most of the people in this area who will be hit hard by it are probably gonna vote for Obama.
ReplyDeleteNFO - Yes. Wow!
So sad! Hugging children and trying to prepare them for who knows what is a sounds good to me. I have spent the past few weeks doing just that. I have had an uncontrollable desire to be with my family more and more and honestly we already spend lots of time together.
