Philadelphia Publishes Map of Gun Permit Applicants

Via a story from TechnicallyPhilly, the City of Philadelphia has revamped their Licenses and Inspections web site to include very helpful interactive maps. Unfortunately, one of the maps that can be easily brought up are the "Gun Permit Appeals". From the web site:
The map displays appeals made in the last 730 days by individuals to have their gun licenses granted or reinstated. To access the total L&I history of a property, click on Location History in the pop-up. To report an issue not seen on the map, click "Contact 311" on the top tool bar.
If you click through to the map from TechnicallyPhilly's site, zooming in on addresses where somebody has applied for a renewal or new gun permit is very easy to do. This should probably be renamed to "map of places where guns can be stolen."

Hopefully the City of Philadelphia will be convinced of the stupidity of putting this information up.
