The doctors found "things" not quite right, but none seemed toadd plain her not being able to talk. She had seen the best folk at Walter Reed and a speech therapist, but she didn't speak. Anyway, I started to work with her in a varietEric ways to include teaching her sign language and her parents. She was not deaf and the goal was always to get her to speak and communicate without sign, but that was just another tool. One day when she was around 5 she started to say a few words and now 2 years later she is a full chatterbox. There is always hope.
