On a Pike

Mikeb3d2k:

"Personally, I think brutal punishments as deterrence are much better than an armed populace for keeping people on the straight and narrow.  Sticking people in prison isn't as much of a punishment as a head on a pole, or putting someone on a gibbet."

Because putz.

    2. In my opinion (and know the sayings about opinions), Anti-rights cultists are afraid.

Afraid of making moral choices regarding life and death that they will be held accountable for.

Afraid of making choices that they will have to live with the rest of their lives.

Afraid of having to examine themselves (hence why we see so much projection) and confront the fact that they can be savage, brutal and lethal.

By having discipline imposed from without, they never had to worry about learning to control themselves.

    3. Being afraid to be responsible for personal choices actually describes a large part of the modern progressive thought.
