If you are looking for that elusive .380 Auto ammo you've been told about in myth and lore, head on over to Cabelas. They have PMC Bronze in .380 for $13.99 a box, and 115gr 9mm for $10.99/box. And right now they have $5 flat rate shipping for order over $150. Just one thing to note, the by-the-box price is actually cheaper than the bulk price, but the bulk price includes the Cabelas dry box, which they say is a $14.99 value. Personally I'd skip their dry boxes and get some of the orange MTM cases from Amazon.
In the past I've heard some people deride PMC ammo, but for good and cheap practice ammunition I've found that there stuff feeds and shoots well in all my guns, except the FN 5.7 for which they don't make cartridges.
I've shot PMC in .223 and 9mm and have never had problems with it. It's good, cheap range ammo in my book.
ReplyDeleteNever shot it in 9. But I have .380 and .40 and .223. Actually, I have an AR-15 with a 1:7 twist barrel that the 55gr PMC shoots more accurately out of then the Remington UMC 55gr.
ReplyDeleteI was just at the range yesterday with some coworkers, and one was buying .45 and opted for the Winchester white box over the PMC because he wanted "American" ammo, even though the Win. was $10 more. While I don't shoot .45, I've got plenty experience shooting Winchester white box and PMC in .40, and the PMC is far more reliable and accurate.
